Corporate Background: Once upon a time, a long long time ago, there was a little girl named Goldilocks. She lived with her mom and dad in a little cottage on the edge of a great forest. One day Goldilocks went for a walk in the forest. She forgot all about the warning that her mom and dad had given her to not go into the forest alone. Goldilocks went into the forest and soon she lost her way. She walked and walked all day trying to find her way back to her home. Finally she saw a little cottage and thought maybe who ever live there could help her find her way home. She knocked on the door, but no one was home. She open the door and saw three bowls of porridge. The first bowl of porridge was a big bowl, the second one was a medium sized bowl and the third one was a small bowl. She felt very hungry so she tried the big bowl but she cried "Its too hot!" Then she tried the medium sized bowl, but it was too cold and she shivered. Then she tried the small bowl and it was just right, so she ate most of the porridge in the small bowl. After she ate the porridge, Goldilocks was feeling very tired so she went into the living room. There she saw three chairs. First she tried the big chair - it was too hard. Then she tried the medium chair - it was too soft. Then she tried the small chair - it was just right. She sat down and heard a big crack. The chair went splat on the floor. Then she went upstairs. To her surprise she saw three beds. She first tried the big bed, but that bed was too hard. So then she tried the medium sized bed, but that bed was too soft. And then she laid down on a small little bed, which was just right, and she fell fast asleep. Meanwhile the three bears who lived in the house were coming home from their morning walk. Goldilocks did not know this. When the bears reached the door they saw that someone had left the door open so they walked in and saw that someone had been eating their porridge. Papa Bear said, "Someone has been eating my porridge!" "Someone has been eating my porridge too!" said Momma Bear. "Someone has been eating my porridge, and they ate it all up." cried Baby Bear. The three Bears went into the living room. Papa Bear said, "Someone's been sitting in my chair!" Momma Bear said, "Someone's been sitting in my chair too!" Baby Bear said. "Someone's been sitting in my chair and they broke it!" Baby Bear was in tears once again. Then they saw footsteps leading up the stairs. They went up the stairs. They looked inside the bedroom. Papa Bear said, "Someone's been sleeping in my bed!" Momma Bear said, "Someone's been sleeping in my bed too!" Baby Bear said, "Someone's been sleeping in my bed and is still sleeping in my bed!" The noise woke Goldilocks up. Papa Bear chased Goldilocks out of the house. From that day onward Goldilocks never went into the woods alone again. The End This page was last updated on 12/27/00.
